At 21 years old, Rafael Camara already has a list of achievements to be envied, and he’s showing no signs of cutting it short any time soon.
The Brazilian racer has mirrored his country’s immense passion for motorsport at every step of his journey, which truly got going when he was snapped up by Ferrari to join their Driver Academy in 2022.
Boosted by their support, he broke records on his way to triumphing in the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship before repeating the feat the next year in Formula 3, where he became the first driver in the series to clinch the title at the penultimate round.
The next accolade in his sights is the Formula 2 crown, which he’s edging towards after winning three Feature Races, but his junior formulae record and spectacular showing at a test in an old-spec Haas has been more than enough to earn him a full-time F1 seat at the American squad in 2027.
With raw speed, ever-evolving race management skills, and an admirable ability to resist pressure, Camara has all the foundations he needs to thrive in Formula 1. It's no surprise, then, that he was offered an early chance to do so with a 2026 Grand Prix debut on home soil in Sao Paulo.
