FP1 HIGHLIGHTS: Watch all the key on-track action from first practice in Abu Dhabi
The final Formula 1 weekend of this extraordinary 2020 season kicked off with first practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Friday.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen clocked the quickest time of the session, just 0.034s ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the Mercedes, while Lewis Hamilton put in the fifth fastest lap time on his return to the cockpit after sitting out the Sakhir Grand Prix following his Covid-19 diagnosis.

Daniel Ricciardo ended the session at the very bottom of the timesheets after a fuel presure issue caused his Renault R.S.20 to grind to a halt out on track, in what is his final race weekend for the French team before his switch to McLaren for next year.
There was also a spin for Alex Albon in the second Red Bull, as he finished fourth fastest, just behind Esteban Ocon in the Renault – check out all the key moments from the session in the video above.
