FP2 HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action as Ricciardo finishes behind Mercedes duo at Silverstone
Mercedes recorded their second one-two of the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix weekend, with Lewis Hamilton ahead of Valtteri Bottas in FP2 – but it was Daniel Ricciardo’s time for Renault that raised eyebrows, the Australian ending the session P3, ahead of his former Red Bull team mate Max Verstappen.
Ricciardo was happy then – but Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Alfa Romeo’s Antonio Giovinazzi were less so, Vettel pulling off the track with fluids streaming from the underside of his SF1000 near the end of the session, while Giovinazzi was then forced to pull up with his own issues at Maggotts-Becketts.
