F2: Camara beats Inthraphuvasak to impressive pole position at Spa

Rafael Camara achieved his fourth pole position of the season after coming out on top at Friday afternoon’s Spa-Francorchamps qualifying.
The Invicta Racing driver and the rest of the field had just one lap at the end of the session to set their best times, and the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy member did just that with a 1m 56.306s.
ART Grand Prix driver Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak crossed the line moments later to go up to second, just 0.039s behind Camara – although P2 is his best qualifying result in Formula 2.
Rodin Motorsport’s Alexander Dunne had been fastest for most of the session but finished in third place ahead of championship leader Nikola Tsolov.
TRIDENT driver John Bennett completed the top five, with DAMS Lucas Oil driver Dino Beganovic in sixth.
Invicta’s Joshua Duerksen qualified in seventh ahead of the second DAMS of Roman Bilinski. Martinius Stenshorne wound up in ninth as Noel Leon rounded out the top 10.
Next up is the Spa-Francorchamps Sprint Race which is set to stat at 14:15 local time on Saturday afternoon.
