Piastri extended his lead in the Drivers’ Championship in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix this weekend.

• Piastri’s 31-race scoring streak is the longest by any driver in F1 history other than Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton.

• Today’s was Piastri’s sixth Grand Prix victory of the season, the most by an Australian in any season in F1 history.

• It was McLaren’s 13th win Grand Prix win at Spa-Francorchamps, their first since Jenson Button in 2012.

• With Lando Norris second, it was McLaren’s sixth one-two finish of the season – their most since Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna scored 10 in 1988.

• It was Norris’ first career top-four finish in a Grand Prix at Spa.

• Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished third at Spa for the third consecutive season.

• Only Piastri (11) and Norris (11) have more podium finishes this season than Leclerc (five).

• Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished fourth at Spa for the second consecutive season.

• Verstappen has only scored one podium finish in the last six Grands Prix (he was second in Canada).

• Mercedes’ George Russell took P5 and does not have a top-four finish since winning in Canada.

Alex Albon came home in P6 for Williams, his fourth top-six finish of the season.

• That was Williams’ best result in a full length Belgian Grand Prix for 10 years (after Felipe Massa took P6 in 2015).

Lewis Hamilton finished in P7 for Ferrari, having started from the pit lane.

Liam Lawson was P8 for Racing Bulls – his second top-eight finish in the last 3 Grands Prix.

Kick Sauber’s Gabriel Bortoleto took P9 for his second career points finish.

• That was Sauber’s first points at Spa since 2018 with Marcus Ericsson.

Alpine’s Pierre Gasly’s P10 was his second consecutive points finish driving for the last-placed team.

• At Haas, Oliver Bearman finished 11th for the fourth consecutive race, tying the longest streak of finishes in the same position other than first place.

• P12 for Kick Sauber was Nico Hulkenberg’s best result at Spa since 2019.

• After his P16 for Mercedes, Kimi Antonelli has only one points finish in the last seven Grands Prix (P3 in Canada).

• It was the second race of the season – after Japan – in which every driver was a classified finisher.
