The FIA Formula 2 Championship and FIA Formula 3 Championship have announced their respective calendars for the 2027 campaign.

Both junior single-seater championships will continue to support Formula 1 across the 2027 season, with F2 featuring at 14 rounds, while Formula 3 will be present at 10 rounds next year alongside both.

F2 returns to Montreal after racing in Canada for the first time in 2026, while Mexico City joins the calendar for the first time. Istanbul will also feature on the calendar as a new venue, staging a race for the first time in the FIA Formula 2 era.

Formula 3 will visit Jeddah and Montreal for the first time, while the season finale will take place at another new venue in Istanbul.

Both championships will begin their campaigns in March in Bahrain and Jeddah before heading to Melbourne in April and Montreal in May.

F2 and F3 then return to action in June around Monaco before back-to-back rounds at Silverstone and Spielberg.

F2 visits Mexico at the end of October before going to Qatar and Abu Dhabi for the final two rounds of the campaign.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1 said: “The 2027 FIA Formula 2 calendar will deliver another exciting season of racing across 14 rounds at some of the most iconic and challenging venues in world motorsport, including the addition of Istanbul and Mexico City.

“Formula 2 continues to play a vital role as the ultimate pathway to Formula 1, giving the most promising young drivers the opportunity to compete on the same stage as the pinnacle of our sport and showcase their talent to fans, teams and partners around the world. Year after year, the championship delivers outstanding racing and helps develop the next generation of Formula 1 stars.

"“I would like to thank the FIA President and their entire team, Bruno Michel and his team, as well as all our promoters, partners, officials, marshals and volunteers whose dedication and commitment make this Championship possible. I look forward to following another highly competitive season in 2027.”

Bruno Michel, FIA Formula 2 CEO said: “I’m very excited to add three new venues in a financially sustainable way, with the return of Montreal following its surprise addition in 2026 and the first appearance of Istanbul and Mexico City.

“We will be covering freight costs so that the territorial expansion of the calendar does not financially impact our teams.

“With a calendar spanning four continents and a carefully distributed sequence of rounds, the 2027 FIA Formula 2 Championship will offer teams and drivers a demanding and diverse season, while bringing the category to new audiences and strengthening its position as a global platform for the next generation of Formula 1 talent.”
