Grey, red and black. Ever since Haas arrived on the grid in 2016, their cars have been painted in varying proportions of these colours. But the American team is set to get a major facelift next year…
On Thursday Haas announced the signing of a multi-year title sponsorship agreement with British energy drink company Rich Energy, a move they say will result in ‘a significant livery change’.
Team Principal Guenther Steiner reckons the new deal is “another milestone moment in the development” of his squad, which will officially be known as Rich Energy Haas F1 Team for their fourth season in F1.
“We welcome their commitment to us as an organisation, and together we share an ambition to advance further in our respective fields,” he added.
“As we have seen already this season, our own continued push for performance has delivered on-track, and I have no doubt that the platform we provide for Rich Energy will translate into equally favourable dividends.”
With three 2018 races remaining, Haas sit fifth in the current constructors’ standings – three places up on their finishing position of 2016 and 2017. They will head into the 2019 world championship with their driver line-up of Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen unchanged for a third consecutive year.
