The final day of the first 2026 pre-season test is now complete, with Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli topping the timesheets.
Kimi Antonelli has ended the third day of 2026 pre-season testing on top, the Mercedes driver setting the fastest time so far in Bahrain.
After team mate George Russell went quickest in the morning, Antonelli took over for the afternoon session and slotted into P1 on a 1m 33.669s, going 0.249s faster than Russell’s earlier benchmark.
Lewis Hamilton – who sparked a late red flag after pulling off track towards the end of the afternoon – classified in third for Ferrari, with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri fourth and Max Verstappen fifth, the Red Bull driver setting his time during the morning session before handing over to Isack Hadjar later on.
