Max Verstappen sealed a record-breaking 10th consecutive race win at the Italian Grand Prix, overtaking pole-sitter Carlos Sainz on Lap 15 before streaking ahead to victory.
The championship leader was in impressive form once again as he fought the Ferrari of Sainz for victory, biding his time before eventually making the clinical move that took him ahead.

Sergio Perez made it a Red Bull one-two after making his own move on Sainz on Lap 46 with the Ferrari man subsequently facing an almighty battle with team mate Charles Leclerc over the final podium spot. The Spaniard would eventually win out and keep hold of P3.
On a hot Monza afternoon, there was also a flashpoint as Lewis Hamilton collided with Oscar Piastri on Lap 43, the Mercedes man earning a five-second penalty for causing a collision.
Hamilton’s Silver Arrows team mate George Russell also earned a five-second penalty for an incident with Esteban Ocon at Turn 1 – but the Mercedes pair managed to secure P5 and P6 with a large enough gap to offset the damage of those penalties.
