Lando Norris and McLaren set the pace during Sprint Qualifying at the Miami International Autodrome.
Lando Norris stormed to the first non-Mercedes pole position of the 2026 season in Miami on Friday afternoon, putting his upgraded McLaren at the top of the times during Sprint Qualifying.
Norris produced a 1m 27.869s in the decisive SQ3 phase to finish just over two-tenths up on Championship leader Kimi Antonelli, with team mate Oscar Piastri close behind in third.
Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen were next up for Ferrari and Red Bull respectively, while Britons George Russell and Lewis Hamilton had to settle for sixth and seventh with low-key final runs.
