Sergio Perez brought a strong pre-season for Red Bull to a close by topping the timesheets on the third and final day of testing in Bahrain, just ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.
Perez – who was in the car all day and completed 133 laps – set a time of 1m 30.305s on a set of the C4 tyres, to lead Mercedes' Hamilton by 0.359s and Alfa Romeo's Bottas by 0.522s.
It was a strong day for Ferrari also, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finishing fourth and fifth, respectively, on the timesheets.

They were closely followed by Yuki Tsunoda in P6, the AlphaTauri driver finishing ahead the Haas of Kevin Magnussen, the other Mercedes of George Russell and the Aston Martin pair Fernando Alonso and Felipe Drugovich.
The red flag did make an appearance on two occasions on Saturday, after Perez's car left a piece of debris out on track that needed to be cleared, and Bottas stopped at Turn 8 with an unspecified power unit issue.
