Oscar Piastri took a last-minute win in the Qatar Sprint after his team mate Lando Norris let him pass as they crossed the finish line, with George Russell claiming the final podium spot.
The McLaren pair reversed the team orders that were enacted in the Sao Paulo Sprint as the Briton pulled to the inside coming out of the final corner, handing the win to Piastri who had repeatedly survived the threat of Russell close behind him.
After the Aussie got the better of the Mercedes on the first lap, Norris supported him by intermittently keeping him in DRS range to prevent Russell from reclaiming second position, before switching around for the victory.
Elsewhere, Ferrari finished the Sprint where they started, crossing the line in P4 and P5 after Charles Leclerc had an incredibly clean battle with his future team mate Lewis Hamilton.
Rounding out the points-paying positions were Nico Hulkenberg and Max Verstappen, who recovered a single point after dropping back at the beginning of the Sprint. His team mate Sergio Perez also had a session to forget – his poor start from the pit lane saw Red Bull switch to using the Sprint as a testing opportunity.
