Heading to the penultimate race in Interlagos, Leclerc was 7-5 ahead of Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas in the season-long battle to claim the Pirelli Pole Position Trophy. And with the Finn managing only fifth-best in qualifying, Leclerc is now assured of sealing the award – and in just his second season in F1.
