MONDAY MORNING DEBRIEF: Why Ferrari’s crash-filled Dutch GP masked a remarkable turnaround
Mark Hughes is on hand to analyse the silver lining for Ferrari in the Netherlands, after they recorded a double DNF at the Dutch Grand Prix.

Two crashed cars and no points made the Dutch Grand Prix a dispiriting event for Scuderia Ferrari. But actually, both team boss Frederic Vasseur and Lewis Hamilton were taking positives from it.
Why so? Vasseur was greatly encouraged by the dramatic turnaround in competitiveness between Friday and Saturday.
In FP1 the cars, running a higher ride height than ideal to account for the heavy grounding the cars take on the fast compression corners – Turn 7 and 8 – were 1.7s off the pace of McLaren, Charles Leclerc and Hamilton languishing 14th and 15th respectively.
