MUST-SEE: The Alpine drivers enjoy heart-in-mouth battle in Jeddah
Heart rates on the Alpine pit wall jumped up a BPM or 50 as Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso duelled in an edgy scrap for P6 in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Having qualified P5 to Alonso’s P7 on Saturday, Ocon was leading his team mate when he decided to go defensive to try and hold his position down the pit straight at the start of Lap 6 of 50 – with Alonso having to get out of the throttle as Ocon moved towards the wall.

But the pair weren’t done, Team Principal Otmar Szafnauer shaking his head as the duo kept fighting over the next six laps, before the order came for Ocon to hold station – with Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas passing the Frenchman soon after.
