‘Not a good look’ – Ricciardo handed infringement after unusual weaving moment in Silverstone pits
Daniel Ricciardo has been reprimanded by the stewards after an incident in the pit lane during final practice for the British Grand Prix, with the RB driver admitting his actions “were not a good look”.
Ricciardo was seen weaving his way down the fast lane in the early stages of a wet FP3 session at Silverstone, prompting the stewards to note his actions before opting for a full investigation afterwards.

Having heard from Ricciardo, an RB team representative and reviewed video, team radio and in-car video evidence, the stewards opted to give the Australian his first reprimand of the season.

“The team instructed the driver to keep the temperatures up in the tyres on the way into the pits and the driver chose to weave when in the fast lane,” read the stewards’ statement.
“A number of other team personnel were present in other team pits immediately adjacent to the fast lane and there was the risk that the weaving of Car 3 might have resulted in contact with these personnel, especially considering the wet conditions.
