PADDOCK PASS: All the reaction from an Imola thriller

History was made at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, as Mercedes swept to their seventh consecutive constructors’ title – while assuring themselves of the 2020 drivers’ title in the process.

Despite polesitter Valtteri Bottas leading away at the start, it was Lewis Hamilton who was able to use events in the race to his advantage and take his ninth win of the season – stretching his advantage over Bottas to 85 points, with just four races left to run this year.

But there were also starring roles for the likes of Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo – who secured his second podium of the season for the team – and AlphaTauri’s Daniil Kvyat, who used a late surge through the field to claim a fantastic fourth.
