Beneath uncharacteristically clear skies relative to what we’ve seen so far this weekend, the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix got under way, with pole-sitter Charles Leclerc making a good launch from P1.
Leclerc’s lead would only last another few corners, though, as from second place, Sergio Perez was then able to slipstream the Ferrari into Turn 5 and take the lead – with his Red Bull team mate Max Verstappen going from P6 on the grid up to P4 by the same corner.
