While cutting-edge technology plays a key role in modern-day F1, physics phenomena remain just as important – none more so than the Coanda effect.
In the latest offering from F1 TV’s Tech Talk series, Rosanna Tennant is joined by F1 technical expert Albert Fabrega to discuss the effect, which is named after Henri Coanda, a Romanian inventor who specialised in aerodynamics.

Using some water, kitchen utensils, a candle and leaf blower, Tennant and Fabrega provide a unique Coanda demonstration and highlight how the phenomenon is still central to the aerodynamic design of F1 cars.
