Oscar Piastri claimed his second Sprint pole position of his career after he narrowly beat his McLaren team mate Lando Norris to the top of the timesheets around Interlagos.
While the Briton appeared to dominate the majority of Sprint Qualifying, Piastri’s final lap saw him beat Norris by just 0.029s with a time of 1m 08.899s, as Charles Leclerc was slightly further behind in P3.

The papaya team will start the 24-lap Sprint in the best position with their front row lock-out, making the most of their small upgrades package they have introduced for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend.
