Max Verstappen showcased his talent once again as he stormed to pole position in Barcelona. The drivers’ championship leader took his 24th career pole, after topping the time sheets in every practice session, with a sublime 1m 12.272s lap.
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz will start second on the grid, with McLaren’s Lando Norris taking an impressive third in qualifying.
Verstappen has won the Spanish Grand Prix twice – in 2016 and 2022 – but has never started it at the front of the grid. With his pole, he puts himself in a prime position to secure his third victory at this event.
