WATCH: Ride onboard with Verstappen for the fastest lap of Friday
Max Verstappen started his British Grand Prix weekend with a sweep of the Friday practice sessions, as he hit the ground running at the fast and flowing Silverstone circuit.
The championship leader – fresh from winning the Sprint and Grand Prix in Austria last weekend – was fastest in Free Practice 1, before going around six-tenths quicker in FP2 with a time of 1m 28.078s.
That, though, was only 0.022s faster than Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz – Sainz’s team mate Charles Leclerc missing the entire session with an electrical issue – while Williams’ Alex Albon took a stunning P3, just over two-tenths off Verstappen.
But though they tried, it was that man Max Verstappen who once again went quickest. Ride onboard with the Dutchman for the fastest Friday lap at Silverstone.
