Max Verstappen clinched Sprint pole at the United States Grand Prix as his superb lap just pipped Lando Norris to top spot.
Max Verstappen turned in a spectacular late effort in Sprint Qualifying to deny Lando Norris at the United States Grand Prix, setting up a thrilling Sprint.
Verstappen's 1m 32.143s saw him best both of his championship rivals as he attempts to further slash the points gap to Norris and championship leader Oscar Piastri.
With a gap of 0.071s separating the top two on the grid, this was yet another session where fine margins decided the order.
