WATCH: Susie Wolff talks about her new role as Managing Director of the F1 Academy
F1 Academy’s newly-appointed Managing Director Susie Wolff has given her thoughts on her role within Formula 1's all-new female driver series.
It was announced on Wednesday that Wolff would become the inaugural Managing Director of Formula 1's newest category, with Wolff tasked with spearheading the development of female motorsport talent and focusing on creating a successful pathway to higher categories in the F1 pyramid.

Wolff will be using her wealth of experience in motorsport in this new role, with the former racing driver having most recently served as the Team Principal for the Venturi Formula E squad.
F1 Academy was launched in November, with the season set to kick off in April in Austria. It will feature five teams, 15 drivers and 21 races at a host of F1 tracks – with Campos Racing today becoming the first team to confirm their full driver line-up for the year.
