At last weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton was disqualified from Friday's qualifying session after the stewards found a technical infringement with the Drag Reduction System on his Mercedes.
The penalty dropped Hamilton from P1 for the Sprint in Brazil, right back to the very back of the field – though he then fought his way back up the order to fifth, before going on to seal victory in the Grand Prix itself.
In this week's Tech Talk show, Sam Collins and Craig Scarborough take a deep dive into the DRS – looking at when and why it was brought into F1, how it works, and the different solutions the teams have come up with for it.
