Formula 1 is back in action for the 2024 season with the opening round at the Bahrain International Circuit this week – and Pirelli have confirmed the tyres that will be in play.
F1’s official tyre supplier will bring the C1, C2 and C3 compounds to the Sakhir venue, the hardest from their C1-C5 range given the temperature and track characteristic demands.

Drivers will get two sets of the hard tyre (marked white), three sets of the medium tyre (marked yellow), and eight sets of the soft tyre (marked red), as well as the green intermediate tyre and the blue full wets, should they be required.

Alongside Formula 1, feeder series Formula 2 and Formula 3 will also kick off their 2024 campaigns in Bahrain, with Pirelli setting out the tyres that will be used for these two categories.
In F2, which features an all-new car, Pirelli have chosen the hard and the soft tyres for Sakhir, with the same step between the nominated compounds as seen last year, while F3 will have the manufacturer’s latest hard tyre at their disposal.
