F2: Fittipaldi takes emotional Jeddah Feature Race win

Enzo Fittipaldi earned his maiden Feature Race victory, winning in Jeddah after an incredible pass for the race lead late on.
The Van Amersfoort Racing driver had climbed up the order with impressive race pace, passing pole sitter Kush Maini in the initial phase of the race. Following a late-race Safety Car, his charge continued and he closed in on the yet-to-pit Juan Manuel Correa and effective race leader Amaury Cordeel in second.

Three-wide into Turn 1, the Brazilian cleared both of them around the outside to sweep his way into the lead.
From there, Fittipaldi went untroubled and extended his advantage to over eight seconds by the chequered flag on a dominant day for himself and VAR.
Maini had gone from pole but had to settle for second in his Invicta Racing car. The Alpine Academy driver fought past DAMS Lucas Oil and Aston Martin Development Driver Jak Crawford at the restart. It proved crucial as the fight for the final podium place went all the way to the line.
Running the supersoft tyres that were reaching the end of their life, Cordeel defended third from Crawford and MP Motorsport’s Dennis Hauger going into the final lap.

A dive to the inside of the final corner by Crawford and a late-braking move by Hauger put the trio three wide at Turn 27.
They fought for slipstream and fanned out across the line, but it was Hauger that earned the final spot on the rostrum by just 0.027s over Crawford. Cordeel dropped to fifth, 0.154s back from the podium.
